Post by: easyrider on December 02, 2007, 05:08:24 PM
The Estrella Warbird Museum in Paso Robles has a VariEZE they want to move. I have seen it and it is a basic aircraft and would need a full refurbishment. The engine has been removed. If you are interested call Gary Corippo @ 805 238 2090.They are looking to give it away for a contribution to the Museum. The N# is 84EZ. Go to airliners.net and search for varieze. There is a picture of the airframe on that site!

The aircraft was built by Rowland R Johnson and Carol D Joyce. Does anyone know them or why they stopped flying the Vari-Eze? I am interested in shipping it back to the United Kingdom. We don't have the same outlook on litigation there and I would like to fly the aircraft in Europe.

As janny77 has posted the phone number for Rowland Johnson has been disconnected . I suggest calling Gary Corippo at the Estrella Museum to see if he knows why it was donated. Gary's cell is 805 712 1222. Easyrider

Yeah. I donated it to them with the explicit understanding that it not be given to anyone who would fly it.
