Hangar Flying / Seats
« on: March 07, 2005, 10:25:50 PM »
My seats are old foam. I understand that "confor foam" has excellent shock absorbing value for a potential bad situation. I looked at oregon Aero' site to see what they have to offer:

$299 for foam seems like a lot of bones.

This link shows a little of how they do it.

any thoughts?

(by the way for those that remember... 408EZ is back in the air after 4 months down after a nose wheel failure. It is great to be back in the saddle)

Hangar Flying / Garmin's iQue® 3600a... Anybody got one yet
« on: February 18, 2005, 10:05:13 AM »
From what I can tell this is a new offering from Garmin and looks really really good. Looks like similar features as the 296 with a Palm platform and an aviation cradle that has integrated buttons that make it easy to access aviation features (no stylus necessary)

Here is the link to the manual

Looks like retail is $1099 which makes it lots cheaper then the 296 and more useful when we land. Or need to make an inflight call...(sat phones only right?)

I am intrigued and would like to hear others thoughts.

Thanks,

Dave
