Transporting a verieze project

(1/1)

Iflyjets:
I am in the process of purchasing a Verieze project that is nine hours from my home. The fuselage is on the gear and the strakes are Finished. Will this fit inside of a pick up truck bed strapdown backwards? And has anybody ever transport it one like this.

Alan Laudani:
Why not rent a trailer? Or rent a box truck?
The distance between the wing attach fittings is wider than any pick up bed.

Congrats on your buy. Keep it light.

Iflyjets:
I don't have a truck and was told if I rent one I can't pull a trailer with it.
The airplane is 500 miles from my house so a U-Haul truck would cost much more than the project.

Ron Springer:
I don't have a truck either, but I used my Honda Odyssey to move my VariEze 70 miles. The 6x12 U-Haul trailer is sized perfectly. You need to get the one without the ramp because the ramp is not full width. So, you have to provide your own ramp.

dorr:
If you are anywhere near SoCal, I have a trailer set up for EZ transport.
