Well my solution was a motorcycle jack with a wood box that would fit under the rear portion of the fuselage that was reinforced. Joe Person, who also uses a half t hangar across the way from my hangar, had a more elegant and engineered solution, a ramp that he rolled the plane on and then lever it up to roll sideways. I found that my jacking system was very handy in dealing with the gear, brakes and wheels. I do have pictures if anyone's interested.

I used a half t hangar with my VE, rolled in sideways on car dollies. Everything was still attached, saved over half the cost of a full t hangar.

I used a enclosed 16' trailer for the first couple of years I had my VariEze. Made dozens of trips to back and forth to the airport. On my web site http://michaeltdrew.com/photo.html are some photos of how I set up the trailer. My solution was nose retracted for better clearance between the strakes and wings.

Dave,
This is from Gary Hertzler Prop Care page "-Your Silver Bullet has a rain erosion leading edge, however, it will not often stand up to larger pebbles or cowling screws. Chipped leading edges or dings in the prop can be successfully filled with JB Weld. Thoroughly clean the area to be repaired with solvent to remove any traces of engine oil. Overfill the depression slightly and allow it to harden. Carefully file and sand back to contour." I've used it a couple of times.

Speaking of antenna's, I'm currently using an Air Wip com antenna that was designed to fit in the nose of various UL composite noses. Very fexible and works great so far. Groundplane free - a full half-wave dipole.

Glad to hear the progress with E Mag/P Mag. Wonder if anyone flying with the units has heard about excessive drive gear wear? This from a comment made in the latest CSA P.25 the second paragraph "additionally E-Mag has excessive wear issues with its drive gear".

I used a combination of the Strong actuator and a glass spring similar to Ken Miller system. The actuator is attached to the front side of F22 and runs forward to attach to the elevator torque tube. Have of picture of the attached actuator and shaft, if you would like to see that part of my setup.
