Title: looking to buy an EZ soon but have questions.
Post by: redman on April 20, 2010, 04:58:47 PM
Hello i'm looking for general info about the long ez aircraft and have many questions about the plane. I have about 140 hours and very much want to buy one for me and my wife for traveling, if there is anyone that would help me out I would apperciate it. I there is anyone that could possibly take me up in one that would be a dream come true, i would be happy to fill your tanks. I have read about these aircraft for sometime now. thank you chris

Hi Chris
Someone can give you a ride. But we need to know where you live, then we can find someone.
Be very cautious about buying; you need a lot of input from those who are experienced builders and/or engineers.

Hi Chris, I can give you a ride. I live in Oregon, but use my Long for traveling to Corona AJO frequently for work. Why don't you email me and we can set it up. Steve Long Ez 988AB

Hi Chris
Steve is a great guy and will give you a ride. But you should be aware that there are many guys living in S. CA. They are often at Chino on weekends. Call Bill Davenport in Los Angeles (310-398-5540) or Greg Gullikson in Fullerton (714-624-5635) or Doug Pitzer in Corona (909-735-4485) for more information.

Hi Chris
Here is more info: Go to the home for www.ez.org and look to the right, top. Click on the CSA tab. You can get a lot of help from Terry Schubert and the CSA guys by spending $30. That will get you a directory that lists 95 builders, flyers, and wanta-bees in CA. There ARE some flyers who are not in the CSA but not many.
You can also call the CA representative for CSA, David Orr. 949-939-1479 Tell him I sent you. Most likely he will give you a ride (I think his aircraft is at John Wayne airport). David also keeps track of all available canard aircraft and charges a fee for that info. I think the info is worth the fee. David also publishes a free monthly email. That will tell you about upcoming flyins, among other things. The Columbia, CA flyin is coming soon.
