Glenn,

I flew with rotax engines in ultralights for a few years and loved them. I hever had a 4 stroke though. I'm curious as to the performance you are seeing with your 914VE? What prop?

Climb rate
Cruise speed
Fuel burn
Did you run into many problems making an engine mount and cowls?

I know the owners of both of the planes being sold by freeflightcomposites; top notch guys. The one priced at 17k is a very sound flying airplane, but the builder finish isn't as nice as the one priced a bit higher. I'd call freeflight composites and talk to them if you are interested in the planes. I'm sure they would be happy to tell you all about them, or show you the planes if you are in the Colorado Springs area.

I have a longez on the same field and have flown with them. I hate to see either plane leave the area :(
