I sold the Vari and never got around to installing Don's Carbon Aribox. It comes as I received it from Don

This Air-Box is made for a BoatTail cowling or NACA style.

It WILL NOT fit the stock cowling without modifications

Hangar Flying / Florida Fly-In Pict

Hello All,

Sometimes it pays to talk to the guy carring all the cameras at the Fly-Ins. I had the opportunity to fly up with another Varieze about 6 weeks to the Williston Fly_In, with Jerry Mobley.. The show was a nice annual, One Day..
I was just taking in the sites and saw this fellow with a ton of cameras around his neck.. So, what the hec, who are you and what all the cams for.. He was an photographer for the local newspapers and more. We talked alittle and he seem bored with the lack of planes flying.. Ding Ding Ding, hmmm so I asked him if he would be interested in a low pass with 2 Vari's....... Well he was all too happy for some excitement..
Rounded up Jerry, and spoke to Mike Dwyer a fellow Canardian with a Beautiful Q2 who had just flown in.. Jerry and I finished with the show, qued the Photobut and departed.. Our Pass couldn't of been better.. 170++, I was 15' agl..

Blah Blah Blah..............................................and TIRE Kickers. Tired of both.
I sold the Vari bout 2 weeks ago to a gent in Arkansas. "Deposit is in the Mail". Well I waited about 10 days to call and ask where it is.... Blah BLah Blah, My wife told me if I purchase a plane like that one, we will be in Divorce court.. Whats the golden rule? Dont tell your wife till after you finish the transaction.... LOL

I purchased this Saber 8" Propeller Extension, Crush Plate, and All New Bolts for the O-200 Continental.. ...................................................................... I bolted it up, and taxied it over to Sun n Fun. Thats the extent of use.
I've gone another route so time to sell it to someone who can use it..

PC is talking to the MAC, he worries if he'll survive the
upgrades...........
Well mine didn't.. 2 puters later and new software, and the
Flick is finally done.. 50 minutes long with a bunch of bonus
footage.

Hangar Flying / Rough River 2006 Video

Always better late then never....
Rough River 2006
Don and myself were really the only 2 out there shooting many feet of video of the event.
I actually arrived Thursday and shot all day Friday. It was a gorgeous day if you arrived early.. Shot what I could in the Rain Saturday, and all day Sunday, till Bill Allen left, basically the last guy..
I was fortunate to shoot some film from the air, wake up a first timer really early Friday, before 6:00 am, (its on the DVD), and a few quick interviews with first time people that flew in. and many take-offs, passes, and landings. As a bonus, if none of none of  you have seen Burt's and Mike's interview with Jay Leno just after winning the "X" Prize, its on the DVD too..
Just need to cover the expenses

Its time to put on those lap belts, turn up the BASS & Volume and watch this fantastic video.
Looks like it was a show put on at the 2002 F1 car races in Japan. I don;t think the FAA would approve of the flying around the complex and over the crouds.
Watch out Patty Wagstaff!
