Hangar Flying / The Shame of the Long EZ
« on: August 05, 2006, 01:38:37 PM »
Recently, I introduced myself as a new Long Ez owner that learned some interesting facts and insights through this discussion board.  Although I am a former F-16 pilot, I checked my ego and thanked you all for the valuable information that helped me become a more knowledgable buyer.

Today, sitting at my computer on a saturday afternoon sick and tired of the INFLATED EGOS posting back and forth, I want to say that I am ashamed at what I have witnessed.

Fact #1:  Although this wet ticket pilot from Virginia might be a little nieve and trusting, he more than likely couldn't have made up all these claims.  He might not have personally witnessed everything, but his only goal was to purchase his own plane...............any of you jerks ever have that desire?

Fact #2:  Just because someone is a good builder..........doesn't mean they are a good pilot..........and vice versa.  Some people don't want to screw with building and want to buy outright................who cares if they ask questions?

Fact#3:  People want to complain and stir the pot.  This post just like all the others will be trampled on and everyone will have to put in their 2cents................why?  Why can't you just enjoy owning a great plane and help others to learn some of the joy and headaches of ownership.

Fact#4:  If you have to keep a new private pilot's 2k deposit when they just flew across the country to buy your P.O.S. plane.............you are the lowest form of life on the planet.................PERIOD!

I basically think you guys are all a bunch of babies that feel they need to be heard.  This plane has been around since the late 70's, there are plenty of resources out there without having to put up with the whiny crap on this site............let the replies begin............tell me how cool you are and how cool your plane is......................WHATEVER.................I'm off to the airport!

Hello Everyone,

Been reading your site for some time.  I recently purchased a long-ez and have to say that you guys helped me make an informed decision.  Obviously, I still have much to learn so I will try to hang in the background absorb what I can.

Glad to be in the canard community!!

Thanks,

Brent
