Title: Transporting a verieze project

I am in the process of purchasing a Verieze project that is nine hours from my home. The fuselage is on the gear and the strakes are Finished. Will this fit inside of a pick up truck bed strapdown backwards? And has anybody ever transport it one like this.

Why not rent a trailer? Or rent a box truck? The distance between the wing attach fittings is wider than any pick up bed.

I don't have a truck and was told if I rent one I can't pull a trailer with it. The airplane is 500 miles from my house so a U-Haul truck would cost much more than the project.

I don't have a truck either, but I used my Honda Odyssey to move my VariEze 70 miles. The 6x12 U-Haul trailer is sized perfectly. You need to get the one without the ramp because the ramp is not full width. So, you have to provide your own ramp.

If you are anywhere near SoCal, I have a trailer set up for EZ transport.
