Jim Emons, not on the web, refurbishes canard nose gear things like this - you can reach him (use Hawaiian time as a guide - he works to midnight - 909-239-2706(cell)
If he doesn't help you, which I'd be surprised to hear, I have one in my spares, somewhere here - he doesn't particularly like the expensive Wilhelmson upper hinge.

Most lay people, including biplane pilots, are shocked at how quickly we canard people can change altitude - up, preferably; these guys couldn't climb 500' on energy if their lives depended on it... or you could say "missile away" - about as real as his guns.
