Title: constant speed props

I am new to the canard scene and would like opinions on constant speed props compatability for thse type of aircraft. Did Burt have constant speeds on his Defiant ? Thanks for any input.

If your after speed, and other factors are not as important, then a good quality fixed pitch, optimized for speed, is the answer.
However, If you would like good all around performance, then a constant speed is the ticket.
I have an MT constant speed on mine, I sacrificed about 5 kts of top end speed for performance in all other corners of the envelope.
