Title: trim spings

I am having problems with replacing the trip springs for both roll control and pitch control. Does anyone have an idea which springs are the best to use. My roll in the Long pulls to the left too much with the replacement springs and pitch springs are too weak. Thanks for any info you can provide.

I don't know about the roll, I have an electric trim system for that. However, the pitch should have a spring that operates in compression. I think the original plans was one that pulled apart (like a screen door sping. I thing ACS has the compression springs.

Can someone tell me specifically where to get the elevator compression trim springs? I hunted thru ACS and only found the tension springs. Easyrider

Darn, I swore I got those from ACS. If you have access to the old CPs, do a search on canard elevator springs. I specifically changed mine to the compression type as a direct result of an article in the CPs.
For what its worth, I have two that I will not be using. I removed them from my Long and am installing the Strong Pitch system. Contact me via my web site if your interested

The advantage is, by installing this thing, it clears some very valuable real estate on the left arm rest. I placed my main gear hydraulic gauges and emergency blow down bottle in the left arm rest.
