Title: "Dead spot in Roncz canard?"

I am flying a GU canard and am moving to a Roncz to deal with rain. I was recently told that there is a "dead spot" in the canard where the elevator has no affect.

I'd love to hear other opions or experieces.

This is the first time I've heard of this!!!.  My EZ is at the aft CG limit.

I have a little over 2600 hours on mine and I've never experienced anything like this.

The only thing I can think of that I would consider "interesting" ;  Water droplets pool up on the trailing edge of the elevators, and will actually travel forward on the upper surface of the elevators.

Here we are, scooting along at 165 kts, and this water is moving forward on the elevator!

I can't remember what airfoil the Defiant canard has, but mine pools water when flying in rain, around the aft 1/3 of the chord.  Just sits there in puddles.
