Heat Muff

I purchased the Hal Hunt exhaust system for my 0320 Longez.  His heat muff consists of a larger tube around the exhaust pipe with the inlet end open but the outlet left open around the exhaust pipe.  How do you connect from his outlet (around the pipe) to the airbox?  Pictures would help if someone has some.  Thanks.

You connect the carb heat hose on the forward end opening on the heat muff with a worm clamp (make sure both the string and wire get clamped down).  The "inlet" side does not connect to anything.  It sounds like you may be confusing a cabin heat muff (which has 2 hose connections) with a carb heat muff.

Drew, I think you are right.  Thanks.  I will need to do another heat muff for the cabin.  I was concentrating on doing both from the one.

Don,

Did you have a carb heat box to introduce the heated air from the heat muff to the carb / Ellison TB ?  I'm looking for something to use for that.
Let me know if you found something that works.

Don,

Did you read the Instructions sheet that Hal sends with his exhaust pipes? If you did, he is very adamant about not using cabin heat muffs with his pipes. There are slip joints on these pipes. Are you sure they do not leak? Are you sure that your carb heat muff will not leak these in? I spoke with Hal about this and he makes a good case for no cabin heat muff. Call him up and discuss it.

HELLO ! ! !   Somebody is NOT paying attention ! ! !   I NEVER said anything about heat muffs for CABIN HEAT.    I said  CARB HEAT !    Yes, . . I've spoken with mister Hunt about cabin heat.  I got the sermon !  ( Don't necc. agree with it, but I go the sermon ).  However,  I want a heat box to introduce heated air to the Ellison Throttle body.  I'm not comfortable flying in visible moisture w/o carb heat.   I could make one up, but I wondered if anyone has already slain that dragon!   I also never said I had the  Hunt exhaust pipes.   But, . . . .thanks for your response.

Anybody else out there ?
