Title: VE Paint Scheme
Post by: spg_76013 on May 27, 2007, 09:52:17 PM
Hi All -

This is my first post to this forum. Attached are two pix of my recently-painted VE fuselage, and a picture of my planned "shuttle-esqe" paint scheme. (I've posted these on the other canard forums, FYI)

We already had first engine start (C-85), and have installed a starter, alternator and battery and a basic VFR panel. Hope to start taxi tests later this summer.

Regards,

Two comments :

1)  Don't forget to keep all dark colors to the underside.  Burt was pretty specific about the heat generated by dark colors and the resulting damage to the fiberglass structure.  I would think this would be especially woesome in Texas ! !

2) BTW, . . .I didn't know they had grass in Texas.  I thought it was all tumbleweeds ! !
