Hangar Flying / Is it too Late?
« on: January 11, 2005, 12:12:39 AM »
Hi all, My name is Steve and I live about 15 miles southwest of Scaled Composits. I fly an Avid Mark IV taildragger, Jabiru powered. It is the third plane I have built and I would grade my skill as somewhere above average. I have begun researching the possibility of building a Long EZ. Is this even possible at this time? Have I missed the boat? Is there factory support any more? How difficult is it to find components and materials. Is working with composits on this scale difficult? I have built fiberglass cowlings in the past. Is the o-235 the preferred engine? Where is the best place to find documentation on the Construction Techniques? I realize I don't know enough yet to even b e asking the right questions, perhaps you all can give me a hand up?
