Title: Arlington, WA flyin (NWEAA)
Post by: Bruce Hughes on July 04, 2007, 03:12:47 PM
The NWEAA is next week. If you plan to be there please read the following:
I can furnish some refrigerator space, shelter in case of rain, and friendly conversation. Unfortunately I am tied up most of the day each day but see me when I drop by the canard parking area.
Candy and I will be there in our Dolphin motorhome (license is Washington 308 VWB (Very Wide B*stard) We get pretty choice parking close to the front of camper parking. Not hard to find. 3 rows from the flight line and 5 or 6 campers from the forum tents. Please do not let our 2 cats out if we take them.
The door is left unlocked and there is a propane-run refrigerator inside. Put whatever you want in the refrigerator. If it is beer I will drink it (just kidding, I will bring a bunch and I expect you to drink mine ( I don't have a weight limit on the motorhome and you DO on the airplane)).
I will also try to remember to bring a bunch of folding chairs. I will leave one or two by your airplane IF THE RULES ALLOW IT. I'll collect them on the last day. (we stay until EVERYONE else has gone).
If it RAINS (common in western WA but it seems unlikely this year) I can seat 7 or 8 (depending on how friendly you are)(grin) in dry comfort. We have a restroom inside but no shower. Also have a variety of reading material and survival rations. At least 3 could sleep inside.
I will not be around a whole lot because my wife and I are volunteers judging antique certificated airplanes. We get pretty busy when people are arriving. Please come by the motorhome someday after 5, if you can. Candy has a lot of true BS stories (Candy's 1st PIC flight is a classic) (her intentional groundloop is just as good) (and flying in an aluminum shadow). I have a few, too.
