Title: Any info on R hutchinson Long ez N50EZ at Chino,CA

Just Purchased N50EZ, Long ez from a freind of the deceased builders family,a Robert Hutchinson.
wont  be going to pick it up till next week as I am in oregon...its got a LYC 0290 145 hp motor,canard extended 10 inches and nose extended 12 inches,gross 1700 lbs??/960 empty.the photos look great,current annual by Bill Ortell A&P from Chino.41hrs TTSN, sounds good but wondering if anyone one here knows the Plane or the A&P and can offer any insight on this project?Also what is the name and number of the Chino FBO?
plane serial# 2216L ??? Any info at all will help a bunch

I don't know N50EZ myself (I'm based in San Diego).  However, I do know Bill Oertel, and he's a good friend & long time EZ-pilot.  Bill has a romp'in-stomp'in O-320 VEZ (for a photo of N183W see the Mexico Trip in the Articles Section) and a one-of-a-kind retractable canard, "Stiletto".  Bill knows his canards, and engines, and I'd fly anything Bill worked on.

Ditto On Bill Oertel, he had done work on my Long and been a huge help.  I installed his electric gear, best thing I ever did for my back.  Good luck with your new toy.

Thanks to all,I am looking forward to meeting Bill as the seller says he will be able to give me my check out in the ez.He is currently out of town untill late this month.when he returns I will fly down to pick up my ez
