Title: Warp drive or not??
Post by: freEze on September 09, 2010, 06:52:51 PM
Hello, new to the forum, did a search and didn't find an answer so I hope this isn't a redundant question! I have a variEze project which came with a damaged 3 blade Warp Drive carbon prop (ground adjustable). Is this prop worth investing in (ie. replacing all three blades) or am I better off getting something else? Does anyone here have experience with this prop on an 0-200 powered VariEze?
Thanks for any help!

Personally speaking I'd say no - stick with a wood prop - maybe a Hertzler Silver Bullet? - mine performs like a VP , with no weight, complexity or other downsides. Rutan never supported then either - pushers & VP are not ideal. Only my opinion though (and I admit I have never used or any experience with a WD prop). Regards Steve
